WHAT’S NEW AT OUR SUMMER 2018 EDITION
This July, Texworld USA brings you new educational seminars, sourcing platforms and will highlight upcoming Autumn and Winter 2019-2020 trends.
“Texworld USA together with Apparel Sourcing USA offers designers, sourcing professionals and anyone looking for manufacturing or private-label development a unique marketplace for networking, education, and sourcing. Our amplified partnership with Lenzing Fibers, SPOTLIGHT Trend Area, new features such as Local Loft and exclusive offerings make the summer edition a must-attend for professionals in this industry,” explains Jennifer Bacon, Show Director.
The summer season’s SPOTLIGHT area in Apparel Sourcing USA will focus on ‘The Art of Customization: Findings, Trims & Accessories’. Jana Platina Phipps, New York City-based embellishment expert known as ‘Trim Queen’, will also support this feature as she hosts a hands-on workshop on how to create your own tassels, pom-poms and decorative knots. NYC’s Craft Jam will also make their debut participating in Resource Row as they offer attendees lessons on how to make embroidery wall art and patches. Texworld Art Directors Louis Gerin and Gregory Lamaud will inspire with their vision of the Autumn and Winter trends in the Texworld Showcase and Laurie Pressman, Vice President of the Pantone Color Institute will also educate on Pantone’s foresight into the next year.
The ever-popular Textile Talks will return along with expanded Explore the Floor sessions. Topics on sustainability, translating fashion to home décor, trends, ethical sourcing and more will be presented to attendees. New this year is the Local Loft, a unique platform which will highlight domestic and locally-sourced factories and production facilities with low-minimum requirements.
